“Be forewarned that, in our work as law enforcers, we are expected to be always on the move, always on our guard, in order to keep the communities safe 24/7, especially now that we are facing probably the greatest battle of this generation, the unforeseen enemy, the Covid-19,” PBGen Azurin said.

“It is not by accident that you are here today. It’s not also by chance but rather it is a choice. Pinili niyong maging pulis. Pinili niyong pumasok dito. Whatever your motivations are, whatever your inspirations are, whatever your purposes are, you are now members of the Philippine National Police. So bear that in mind na ang trabaho ng pulis ay hindi madali,” he further averred.

The Regional Director also emphasized to the recruits his program thrusts in the whole Region 1: Malasakit + Kaayusan+ Kapayapaan= Kaunlaran and encouraged them to help one another. “Try to uplift one another because this is a very unique experience. You came from the different walks of life,” he added

He also reiterated that the police recruits will be trained with organizational behaviors on following simple yet complicated directives that will test their patience and wise use of judgment.

The 400 police recruits composed of 60 females and 340 males will stay in SRPC for their militaristic phase and will later on be transferred to the Regional Training Center 1 (RTC1) in Aringay, La Union for the continuation of their Basic Recruit Course.

A Patrolman, the lowest rank in the PNP Organization will be receiving a monthly basic pay of P29, 668.00 exclusive of allowances while undergoing training. ###
