CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO- Region 1 topcop POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL EMMANUEL B PERALTA led the distribution of SADAQA to 1,094 Muslim beneficiaries in the region Saturday morning (April 17).
 
Sadaqa (charity) is a virtuous deed in Islam. It describes a voluntary charitable act towards others of any kind.
 
Base on report reaching the headquarters, a total of 1,113 foodpacks were distributed in different Muslim communities in the region in observance of the Holy Month of Ramadan 2021.
 
In his message, PBGEN PERALTA extended his wishes of goodness and solidarity to the Muslim brothers and sisters in the region. He also stressed the importance of observing the health protocols to ensure the solemn and peaceful observance of Ramadan.
 
“Police Regional Office 1 extends our support to our Muslim brothers and sisters in the region, especially in this difficult time. Despite the economic and social consequences of this crisis, we will continue to foster charity and unity as one resilient Filipino community,’’ PBGEN PERALTA said.
 
Meanwhile, he also lauded the men and women of Police Regional Office 1 for their charitable initiative and commitment on helping the community.####

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO - Police Regional Office 1 under the leadership of POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL EMMANUEL B PERALTA intensifies the conduct of Simultaneous Anti- Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) in the region which yielded significant results on its campaign against illegal drugs.
 
Upon his assumption, the Region 1 top cop PBGEN PERALTA stressed that one of his Major Campaign Programs focuses on anti-illegal drug campaign and will work on neutralizing HVT including their networks.
Covering the period of February 1 to present, a total of 256 anti-illegal drug operations were conducted that resulted in the arrest 260 drug personalities and confiscation of around 136.0879 grams of shabu, 3,168.2725 grams of Marijuana, 11 firearms and 2 explosives.
 
Synchronized Marijuana Eradication Operations were also conducted by PNP units regionwide where 25,113 Fully Grown Marijuana Plants, 6,695 Marijuana Seedlings, 3,000 grams of Dried Marijuana Leaves with a total DDB Value of Php 6,150,400 were uprooted and destroyed.

PRO1 guarantees the consistent conduct of Simultaneous Anti- Criminality Law Enforcement operations (SACLEO) in the region. This includes the intensified conduct of anti-illegal drug operations in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and other law enforcement units. CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – PBGEN EMMANUEL BALOLOY PERALTA, PRO1 Regional Director, was warmly welcomed by the men and women of Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office, in Laoag City, during his command visit at said office on Monday (February 8).
 
During his visit, he lauded the leadership of INPPO for being able to control the contagion of the virus with no recorded active cases at the moment and maintaining a generally peaceful environment in their AOR.
PBGEN PERALTA also presided a command conference with all the Provincial Staff and Chiefs of Police in the province.
 
In his guidance, he urged all the commanders to proactively enhance security despite the province being a white area, to prevent possible recruitment of left-leaning organizations especially to the youth.
“Let us establish rapport with the management of all educational institutions in the province, kahit wala pang report ng recruitment, to avoid and preempt the possibility,” PBGEN PERALTA said.
 
Likewise, the Regional Director issued a directive on the continuous conduct of random drug testing to all personnel and reiterated that summary dismissal awaits those who will test positive. Meanwhile, 44 INPPO personnel were subjected to the same, all of which yielded negative results.
 
Also, four former rebels and members of left leaning organization surrendered to the said office during the activity and renewed allegiance to the government. They received cash incentives from the Regional Director as a sign of his support to all those who wanted to return to the folds of the community.

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – Police Regional Office 1 celebrates its 30th PNP Foundation Day with the theme “PNP@30: Kakampi Laban sa Pandemya, Iligal na Droga, Kurapsyon at Terorismo”, Monday morning (February 8) at the PRO1 Grandstand, Camp BGen Oscar M Florendo, Parian, City of San Fernando, La Union.
 
The Regional State Prosecutor, Region 1, Atty Nonnatus Ceasar R Rojas graced the said commemoration as the Guest of Honor and Speaker and led the conferment of awards to the following uniformed personnel and civilian individuals for their sincere efforts that immensely contributed to the PNP’s vision of a highly capable, effective and credible police force :

During the ceremony, the Regional State Prosecutor, Atty Nonnatus Ceasar R Rojas lauded Police Regional Office 1 for its resiliency and dedication amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
“The PNP just like other frontliners are our heroes; our allies in fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic where infact, aside from their COVID-19 works, they continue to maintain peace and order in our country by staging anti-illegal drug activities. You deserve our salute,” Atty Rojas said.
 
A wreath-laying ceremony was also held at the Florendo Bust in remembrance of the heroic act of Brigadier General Oscar M Florendo in recognition for his contribution in elevating the role of community relations in military feats.
The ceremony was spearheaded by Police Brigadier General Emmanuel B Peralta, PRO1 Regional Director together with Atty Nonnatus Ceasar R Rojas, Regional State Prosecutor and the family members of BGen Florendo.
The said celebration is in commemoration with the birth of the Philippine National Police which took effect on January 1, 1991.

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO- The Chief, Philippine National Police, Police General Debold Menorias Sinas paid his first command visit to Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) on January 2 and 3, 2021.
 
The 25th Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) with the other members of the Directorial Staff were welcomed with a field demonstration by the police trainees of Regional Training Center 1 and skills demonstration of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 1 and Regional Explosives and Canine Unit personnel.
 
During the ceremony, Police General Sinas led the conferment of awards to the PNP personnel who displayed outstanding performance of duties that contributed to the anti-criminality campaign of PRO1.
 
Three hundred (300) units of Galil Rifles were also turned over to the Provincial Directors of the four police provincial offices in Region 1 as a continuing effort of the PNP leadership and the national government to enhance the firepower, mobility, and tactical capabilities of PNP.
 
In his message, PGen Sinas lauded Police Regional Office 1 for doing an excellent job in sustaining its crime prevention efforts amid COVID-19. He also congratulated PRO1 for its immediate and comprehensive response against COVID-19 with low infection rate and zero casualties noted.
 
Addressing the previous incidents where PNP personnel were involved in crimes, PGen Sinas emphasized that he will not tolerate police personnel who are violating the law and that they will be subjected for dismissal.
 
“Hindi natin poprotekahan ang mga kasama nating gumawa ng masasama. However, this should not stop us from doing what is right and what is good. It should not affect us in our performance and we should always be proud of our organization and ourselves,” he said.
