• PRO 1 Commemorates Independence Day

On this day, let us commemorate our Independence Day with honour, unity and rest in peace in facing the challenge of a new tomorrow.

May we face the new chapter in our country’s history with courage, concern and love. Let’s join our government and the Filipino people in promoting real change in the whole country.

As law enforcement officers, we are given the opportunity to continue to preserve our freedoms. This time let us also remember the police officers of Region 1 who risked their lives for the betterment of our region.

    Police Lieutenant Colonel

    Regional Public Information Officer

    Police Regional Office 1

Police Regional Office has undertaken series of proactive measures to extensively implemented the security requirements for Secure, Accurate, Free and Fair Elections 2022.

We have been objectively ensuring a peaceful and orderly election where every electorate of Region 1 can cast their votes voluntarily, willfully, and independently.

Unfortunately, the recent shooting incident that transpired in Sitio Danglas, Barangay Labut, Magsingal, Ilocos Sur last May 7 shows how the political dispute brought us deeper differences. It has immensely caused social splinters between Ilokano people and sacrificed the unperturbed mind of every electorate.

Four lives were lost and 4 others were wounded, with their clueless families at home waiting for them. It is our desire to urge implore the unity and harmony between political candidates and their supporters resorting to avoid violence.

To our kababayans, you can support your candidates by voting for them in polling centers, not through aggression and violence. Let us not engage or even patronize vote buying activities, for the cost of your votes will pay for the cost of your lives and the future of our nation.

We in PRO1 will continue to stand on our grounds and will strictly adhere to the protocols in coordination with the COMELEC and implement our security plans for the Safe, Accurate, Free and Fair National and Local Elections 2022.
